The look of the month...red lips. A statement that most people, and even myself as a makeup artist, are a bit wary of. Will it suit me? Will I look like I am trying too hard? Can I even pull it off?
I wasn't too keen at the start of the promotion to have to wear this bold lip every day for a month..but I soon discovered a good a reason as any to make red lipstick a part of my "must have" makeup collection.
Have you ever noticed how wearing certain colours can have an effect on your emotions?
Colour psychology has been studied for many years (it's something I found super interesting at makeup school) and has proven results on how certain shades can make us feel! Just think...
Black...sophistication and elegance
Purple..wealth and royalty
Yellow...warm and energetic
White...clean and fresh
Red..powerful and confident...perfect for a shade of lippy ;)
I love coming to work with my red lips..it makes me feel professional, confident and definitely a little bit sexy!
Experiments carried out even prove that colours actually change a man's response to women, and that wearing red makes women more attractive to the opposite sex. Red was proven ,to be the most dominating, seductive and luxurious hue! What's NOT to love about red now?!
SO I have definitely come to love my red lips, and will continue to put them on every now and again, long after this promotion has finished! And I strongly urge anyone dying to try a red lippy....to try one now! Unleash your inner Cleopatra!
(Did you know that she used to have her red lipstick made from crushed Carmine beetles and ants?? The things we do to seduce men! Hahah ;P)

So i went off to the search god aka Google and this is what PINK says about me:
The color pink usually serves two purposes. It can be used to show childish innocence, or a child-like personality.
It can also shows a more flirtatious personality. Pink is normally a color associated with girls and femininity.
Pink is considered a color of good health and life - we speak of people being "in the pink" or the "freshness" of a newborn babe.
Lastly, pink is associated with sexuality, and purity. That is, a girl who is a virgin in heart and body. Pink is symbolic of pure love.
